CURRENT LIP SAVERS

Lip savers. Since I have the driest lips in the world I gotta keep my stash of lip savers for chopped and cracked lips all year round. I've tried out everything out there, from the basic Labello, to the high-end products, but it almost always comes down to these three. Unfortunately I've ran out of my Blooms Organic Soothing Lip Balm (you can read the review here), so the key piece is missing. But anyhow, here are the three musketeers:

Blistex MedPlus has literally saved my lips from the very dry state they were in. I get very sore and chapped lips from the cold and wind in the winter time. This magical balm tingles when you first put it on, but it soothes and repairs your lips within just a few hours. It soaks in so well and it hardly needs reapplying, mainly only after eating or drinking. The smell of it is a mix of some medicated scents with a hint of cocoa, shea butter and cinnamon. Heavenly! 

The next in line is Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil. I gotta say that I simply adore Burt's Bees. All of the ingredients are 100% natural, the products always have that divine honey scent and are really gentle on the skin. This lip balm replenish and hydrates while it smells like a mix of some herb tea. On top of that it's infused with the antioxidant goodness of pomegranate oil. Remember - things like antioxidants can help shield your skin from everyday environmental stress.

So it has come to the last lip baby here - the L'occitane Shea Honey Butter. I have to say this one is my least favourite. It nurtures and protects the lips, but you need a really thick layer of that do to its magic. Also I feel it's kinda drying, although it's not meant to be like that. It's also meant to be used for hands and face, but I just can't imagine using this product anywhere else except on the lips. All in all, not that great. 

So yep, these are the three products I'm currently using on my winter lips. I can't wait to get my hands on the Nuxe Baume Lévres lip balm, because I think it's just amazing. I bought one as a part of Christmas present for my mum and I was having a hard time not to steal it away from her. Which are your favourite lip balms? I'd love to try out something new!

P.S. 2: Don't you analyze the composition of those three lip balms! It's not a Freudian slip, I can assure you that - nothing more than a pure coincidence. Mhm. Yeah.
