To be perfectly honest, I wasn't really into buying the high street beauty products for quite some time. Somehow (probably because of my problematic acne skin and all the fuss about it) I always thought that you gotta pay a certain amount of money if you want the good stuff. You want the quality and results? You gotta give the money, yo. Well, it turns out that I was living in total misbelief for all this time. What a fool I was.
So in the midst of my sudden excitement for the high street beauty products I wanted to blog about this gem since I used it for the first time. I picked it up because I heard too many good things about it, so I just had to give it a go. You probably know that this isn't a new product (the whole "Healthy Mix" line has been out since 2011), but it's fairly new to me and I absolutely love it.
I bought this Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer just a few weeks ago and I'm still thrilled with it. It comes in three different shades and mine is in the shade of 52 (medium radiance), which fits my skin tone perfectly. I use it as an under the eye concealer and also to cover those minor blemishes. It has a really good light to medium coverage which is totally buildable whilst not cakey or overly radiant. I like the fact that it's really moisturizing and still lets the skin breathe (the formula is supposed to be oil-free). The only thing I don't quite dig is the fruity scent, but I haven't had any issues with breakouts or skin irritation because of it. You can get the 10ml pack for 8€, which I think is rather cheap for the stuff you'll get out of this tube. Oh, the packaging is really sanitary too – it comes in a neat little tube and has a convenient and hygienic applicator.
Apart from this I'm also using the Clarins Instant Light Concealer Stick and the M.A.C. Pro Longwear Concealer and they're both brilliant (although the M.A.C.'s one is a little bit too heavy and cakey for my taste).
And now, my dear readers, some questions for you: have you tried out this one? What are your thoughts on it? Which ones do you use on a daily basis? I'd love to know and maybe also try out some other high street products - now that I'm finally out of that ignorance zone.
